We start by riding along beautiful Sam Roi Yod Beach and head into the national park to Ban Pu (Crab Village) where we take a long-tail boat (weather permitting) around Tian Mountain to Laem Sala Beach where we hike up, and then down into Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave. Extreme caution has to be taken and proper footwear worn as the rocks are sharp and can be slippery.

The cave is actually two large sinkholes, the roofs of which have collapsed allowing sunlight & rain to reach the floor, where trees have rooted reaching for the ceiling.

The central focus within the cave is a four-gabled roofed pavilion bathed by natural light, which was built for the visit of King Rama V on June 20th, 1890. This vast cavern high on a hill is the favorite destination for visitors to the park.

After visiting the cave we return to Ban Pu by boat for a lovely family-style seafood lunch on the beach. After lunch we continue to ride through the park with refreshment stops along the way to Wat Khao Daeng with a spectacular mountainous backdrop. Then it is on to Khao Daeng Viewpoint, an incredible vantage point overlooking a vast area of the park.

Collection is between 7:30 and 8:00 am at your hotel reception so we can get a prompt start in the cooler morning air. We will be returning around 4:00 pm.

The cycling is completely flat along good tarmac roads. However, please note, the walking climbs to the viewpoint and caves are extremely testing. To do these accents you need to be fit and agile, and proper non-slip footwear is also essential.

During most of the trip we are tracked by our air-conditioned support vehicle, with fresh fruit, water and first aid support. The vehicle is never more than a few minutes away. On the sections of the ride that the support vehicle cannot follow, the ride leader will have a first aid kit and bicycle tools just in case.
  • TOUR GUIDE – English speaking guide (on bike)
  • SUPPORT VEHICLE – Follows for safety, comfort & peace of mind
  • LUNCH – Assortment of premium Thai delicacies
  • WATER/SOFT DRINKS – During the ride
  • FRESH FRUIT – Chilled local fruits at rest-stops
  • FEES – Parks, boat rides & other entrance fees
  • TRANSFERS – From your hotel to unique cycling destinations (& back)
  • BIKES – Using modern Marin hybrid bicycles
  • HELMETS – Must be worn for your safety

Although we start early in the morning, it can get very hot and we suggest you wear sun lotion and bring extra with you. Supportive shoes are important as we usually have options for doing some treks off the bikes. An extra t-shirt is recommended for the van ride home. If you are concerned about the weather please consult us. DO NOT believe the weather forecasts.

Don’t forget to bring a camera or video camera!
